Some things will be overlooked as simple cultural misunderstandings, but other things will have Parisians seriously fuming and talking in hushed tones with their colleagues about how “rude” tourists are.

The Problem with being unemployed in Paris during winter

Hardly any overseas visitors to keep things lively
It’s too fucking cold to leave the house, which means no exercise and an any ad-hoc “lets catch up for a coffee” invitations are really not appealing
It’s grey, so mood-wise, not exactly inspiring
Seasonal affective disorder at the same time as unemployment blues is like standing with a wet [...]
