Paris has a slang name, “Paname”, which is becoming more popular with the newer generations in Paris.
I think it was used ages ago, but is now being revived, just for fun.
Apparently Edith Piaf has a song called “Paname Paname” too. Must track that down….and also find out the addresses of where she grew up, where she performed etc. I think its actually in the next suburb across from me. Convenient!
